Special Lecture: Dr. Daisaku Higashi, professor at Sophia University in Tokyo (Director, Graduate Program of International Cooperation at Sophia University) Prof. Daisaku Higashi is a leading scholar on mediation and peacebuilding in Japan. He has been assigned by Japanese Foreign Ministers to visit South Sudan to make its intellectual contributions in 2019, 2023, and 2024. His CV and books

There is no need for the registration. The purpose of this workshop is to create the place and opportunities for African participants to TICAD 9 (from Aug 20 to Aug 22), African students, citizens, and diplomats living in Japan, and the Japanese young people, students, and citizens to discuss challenges of peacebuilding in Africa and create the network to keep future collaboration.(This event is one of the TICAD9 thematic events.)

TICAD9 (８月２０日―２２日)と同じ時期に開催し、TICAD９に参加するアフリカ各国の方々、日本に在留するアフリカの学生や社会人、外交官、日本の学生や社会人、市民が集まり、アフリカの平和の課題について語り合い、将来の連携へのネットワークを作ることを目的としています。（このイベントは、TICAD9の正式なテーマ別イベントの一つです。）
